A. Breanna Jain

CEO, DNP, PMHNP-BC, CARN-AP

Dr. (Alisha) Breanna Jain is a Board Certified Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and is the Chief Executive Officer and Cofounder of Eustasis Psychiatric & Addiction Health. She started her medical career in 2011 and obtained her RN degree through Cox College where she graduated with honours. From there, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC) for both her Masters and Doctoral degrees and obtained board certifications through the ANCC as a PMHNP-BC, and the ABSNC as a Certified Addiction Registered Nurse in Advanced Practice (CARN-AP). Her body of work on walk-in psychiatry was accepted for dissemination at the American Psychiatric Nurses Association’s National Conference. Dr. Breanna Jain has many years experience in mental health and the medical field and has been well trained in psychopharmacology, child/adolescent psychiatry, addiction, and complex psychiatric conditions that require medical expertise. She is MAT certified and truly enjoys helping those in need, her treatment philosophy is that “no patient should suffer.” If there is something that could be better, it should be better- and she works to find a solution whether that includes more advanced modalities like esketamine, life saving medications such as clozapine, or providing supportive psychotherapy. In 2018, Drs. Breanna and Alok Jain felt led to serve the community and opened their practice to serve those in need. Dr. Breanna Jain was recognized as one of Springfield’s Most Influential Women by the Springfield Business Journal through her work as the CEO of Eustasis, particularly for her efforts while pregnant during the COVID-19 Pandemic in keeping their clinic open and providing crisis intervention. The Jains have seven children, love traveling, and vegan cooking. She grew up in California and loves fashion, music, and cinema. She understands the needs patients face in managing their lives and coping with mental health, and is always looking for new ways to make her patients’ treatment successful.

Alok Jain, MD

President of Medical Affairs

Dr. Alok Jain is double board certified as a Board Certified Psychiatrist through the American Board  of Psychiatry and Neurology and Board Certified in Addiction Medicine through the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He has over 30 years experience as a physician and has been practicing psychiatry for 26 years. Dr Jain attended medical school in India at the prestigious King George’s Medical University in Lucknow. From there, he came to the United States and completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of Missouri Columbia and was honored as the Top Resident, Psychiatry. Initially, Dr. Jain worked several years in the underserved and rural area of West Plains, Missouri where he treated patients of all ages with both psychiatric and medical conditions. From there, he held positions with CoxHealth Springfield serving as the Medical Director of Geriatric Psychiatry-Inpatient Unit, Residency Faculty Advisor, outpatient psychiatrist, and for the bulk of his career- consultation/liaison psychiatrist. During his time as a consultation/liaison psychiatrist Dr. Jain successfully treated and diagnosed the most life-threatening and complex diagnoses such as neuroleptic malignant syndrome, lithium toxicity, serotonin syndrome, acute overdoses, thyroid toxicity, acute alcohol withdrawal, malignant catatonia, and became an expert in managing the medications of patients with acute/chronic medical conditions who also needed psychiatric care. His work became well recognized and appreciated by his peers earning him year after year the honor of 417 Magazine’s Top Psychiatrist between 2002-Present. In 2021, he was also awarded by Springfield Business Journal as Health Care Champion: Best Doctor. Dr. Jain decided to go into private practice in 2018 with his wife Breanna Jain (also board certified in psychiatry) after they saw an unmet need for patients in the community who were experiencing unnecessarily long wait times and poor access to psychiatric services. They opened their first Eustasis Clinic in March of that year and have been treating patients across the lifespan in all aspects of psychiatric care ever since. Dr. Jain is the Medical Director of Eustasis and currently works very closely with all of his staff on managing patient treatment. Dr. Jain also obtained recertification in psychiatry in both 2009 and 2019 and keeps up-to-date with all new state of the art options. He is trained/certified in multiple psychiatric and addiction modalities for treatment resistant conditions including Spravato (esketamine), buprenorphine (MAT-certified), rTMS treatment, QB Test for ADHD, and Clozapine. In his free time Dr. Jain enjoys spending time with his large family, going for walks, watching movies, and studying the stock market.

Steven M. Kory, MD

Medical Director | Rogers

Dr. Steven Kory is triple board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in General Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry. Dr. Kory attended medical school at the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed his psychiatric residency at the University of Louisville. In addition, he is trained in various neuromodulation therapies such as electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and vagal nerve stimulation(VNS). He is also a member of the American Psychiatric Association.

Over the past 28 years, Dr. Kory has served on numerous advisory boards, taught psychiatric residents, lectured on various topics in psychiatry/neurology and participated in clinical trials. He is also entrusted as a lecturer and on the speaker panel for many pharmaceutical companies as an expert opinion.

He is also currently an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Dr. Kory has been named as 417 Magazine’s Top Psychiatrist Joplin, MO area. He also serves as Medical Director for several rural hospital programs in Kansas serving the geriatric community.

Dr. Kory and his wife, Tracy have recently joined the Eustasis family and he will be serving as the Medical Director at the new Eustasis outpatient center!

In his free time, Dr. Kory enjoys spending time with his family, cycling and hiking, playing pickleball and traveling.

Dr. Joann McGuire, PsyD

Director of Psychology

Eustasis is so excited to have Dr. Joann McGuire on our team! Dr. McGuire is an outstanding doctoral clinical and neuropsychologist with unparalleled experience in the acute/medical inpatient setting. She has first class knowledge of treating patients who are needing therapy during the most difficult times, including those going through life threatening changes such as cancer, heart surgery, or end of life measures and therefore has a strong background for helping patients who may be struggling with fear due to the unpredictable COVID-19 Virus. Dr. McGuire has experience with conversion disorder, neuropsych testing, MMPI, and other types of screenings. She received the full APA accreditation and graduated with honors from Forest Institute with her Doctor of Psychology and an emphasis on Neuropsychology-Adult and Geriatric and Neuropsychology- Child and Adolescent. She wrote her dissertation on Grief Reactions, subjective life expectancy, and risk taking in adolescents. Prior to that, she attended Missouri State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Masters in Counseling, and her Bachelors in Psychology with a Minor in Instrumental Music Education from Missouri Southern State University. She has over 30 years experience in the psychological field and brings a high level of expertise to the practice. She has worked as an acute medical psychologist before Eustasis for the last 10 years at CoxHealth and before that as a neuropsychologist for the Mercy system where she provided inpatient neuropsychological evaluations and assessments. Dr. McGuire is also a brilliant psychoanalyst and can do advanced strategies such as interpretive work, psychodynamics, and even restructuring.

Miranda Moore

Miranda Moore has been a key member of the leadership team at Eustasis since 2019. She has served as a health care executive attending to patient care needs, patient advocacy, staffing, and more, and has been instrumental in the growth of the company. Miranda earned her degree from Evangel University in Business Science and Management, and has also obtained SHRM advanced education. Prior to Evangel, Miranda received enhanced experience and a degree from the James River Leadership program. Miranda is a Kansas City native and is proud of her Latina heritage. Her parents taught her to be hardworking and gave her a strong exposure and background in both health care and business. She is happily married and loves travel, dogs, and her family.

Sheryl has been an integral part of streamlining the front office and ensuring patient success. If this means staying until 730 PM to ensure every partient is seen, Sheryl will be there! She is patient centric, a team player, and always there to make you laugh. Sheryl moved here from Colorado with years of healthcare experience and has been there through all of the changes COVID-19 brought and never once missed a day of work throughout the whole pandemic. She is the backbone of the front office and much loved by the community she serves.
